Winter skincare essentials!

Hello everyone! We are almost done with 2020 and for good, I believe, haha! But being in Canada, what I am not done with is the dreaded winters coming our way. Winters are unbearable for me as well as my skin. It gets all flaky and dry, and oh, those chapped lips ugh. If you too struggle with your skin during winters, keep reading to find some tips to maintain healthy skin.

Do not over exfoliate: Go easy on exfoliation, especially chemical exfoliants like salicylic acid that strips off the natural oils from your face. As a result, your skin might turn dry and flaky. Try using gentler exfoliators like lactic acid, cream or gel based scrubs and extend the intervals between exfoliating sessions.

Choose the right moisturizer: Even though moisturizing is one of the most basic skin care routine, suiting the right moisturizer for your skin type is extremely important to obtain maximum benefits. Using Hyaluronic Acid serums before applying moisturizer will be a game-changer for your skin and will keep your skin moisturized for longer periods.

Facial essence: One of the important steps of Korean skincare is using an essence, which is not a popular routine elsewhere, considering its only use is to enhance better absorption of other products and added moisturization. But, spraying your face with an essence throughout the day will prevent flaking and always see it moisturized. Bye-bye, dry skin! Buy here.

One of my most favourite essences of all time. Works like a charm!

Lip masks: Winters are brutal on the lips, and mine get so dry and chapped that sometimes they bleed. Using a lip balm might not be enough to salvage those chapped lips, you might wanna try something more of a treatment like a lip mask. Lip masks provide deep penetration and moisturization, treating your lips overnight. Wake up to baby soft lips! Buy here.

My absolute favourite lip mask and also it smells delicious!
